It's cool to be the 一番 here!!!
I already posted this in the JLPT3 section, but it was probably overlooked. In the Level 3 Kanji List:
attend, do (110): "shigotoba" has kanji a second time instead of hiragana
death, die (205): "shigo" has a wrong kanji |

Thanks for that, you're certainly correct, and I've fixed both of them . |

In Firefox the table of kanji shifts so that there are fewer columns when you click on any of them.
Also, the example on 135 (au) shows the incorrect kanji. |

Yes, you're absolutely right. And would you believe - it's a bug in Firefox 2!
I don't think I could write a web page to behave that strangely if I needed to (I use Firefox 2, so I've seen it).
I have actually submitted a bug to the official Firefox BugZilla database, and received a reply from the administrators that it is a bug and it's in Firefox 2 but will not be in Firefox version 3.
I've been meaning to code some sort of workaround, but have kept on putting it off
Let me get back to you on the other one, I don't have the required software to check it right now. |

I actually forgot to come back and look at this.
Here's no. 135, the kanji is 会. Maybe I've fixed this without knowing it, but I can't see any wrong kanji here. Maybe you can point it out.
会う あうto fit, to suit, to match(u-v)
試合 しあいmatch, tournament(n)
会合 かいごうmeeting(n)
合理 ごうりrational, consistent(na-adj, n)
似合 うにあうto suit, to match(u-v) |

Hi spurry,
I just had a look at 135, it says 合 is the kanji.
The line, 会う あうto fit, to suit, to match(u-v), doesn't seem right.
Should it be 合う あうto fit, to suit, to match(u-v)?
Cheers, |

合う can also be used as "meet", though not usually when you're talking about coming together with people. This is from 「漢字で意味が変わる」:
一般に「人」との場合は「出会う」、「物や動物」との場合は「出合う」と書きます。 「川と川」や「本線と支線が」の場合は「出合う」(合流)です。
何 (対象) と 「あう」 のかを考えて、使い分けましょう!
人 ~ 会う
人以外のもの ~ 合う |

Oh, I see. Completely caught me off guard, those kanji are so similar it just flew straight past me. I think this is what I meant.
wrong: 会う あうto fit, to suit, to match(u-v)
right: 合う あうto fit, to suit, to match(u-v) |

洋風
ようふう
Kanji 278 is missing a definition - my dictionary claims this means "Western-style". |

Thanks for that, I've added the definition (it's a good one ) |

止まるとまるto remaing, to stay(u-v)
Don't need a "g" in remain
Am I being too anal with corrections? Do you want to know all of these? |

Level 3, kanji 211.
I've been seeing this kanji all over the place, and it's been confusing me. I don't ever see this kanji with the 2 dots in the middle of the box (appearing more like mother). Shouldn't it just have the line down the middle? It will most likely be with the line down the middle on the test, right? |

Level 3, kanji 222.
Isn't there supposed to be a line down the middle? |

Doyle It might be something to do with the font you are using. For the last 2 kanji you mention I don't see them as you described. But as "normal". No dots but a line as you yourself expected. |

Yeah, that might make things a little interesting. 笑笑
Rocket. I'll let you know if I see anything else then. Thanks for putting up this site. It's been helping me a ton in the past couple of days. |
