Hi all. I never seemed to be able to figure out what the difference is between ~ている and ~てある. Can you give me some advice? For example, what's the difference between the following sentences:
| Quote: |
The door is shut.
Do you like your job?
Why are you laughing? |
| Quote: |
Take the book which is lying on the table.
This room is air-conditioned.
What is the book about? |
Can't seem to find the difference. Are they interchangeable? Are there some rules associated with them? Thanks in advance! |

The search button is really over-rated. |
