I have the first book in the Yookoso series.
I'm wondering how far the contents of this particular book will get me on the JLPT. I have access to Genki I and II, but Yookoso is the only book I actually own.
I use a few resources on the internet, obviously including JLPT study. Wikipedia I find helpful. I really like Oxford's book of Japanese grammar and verbs.
Bottom line, are these few things enough to not only pass, but do well on the N3 exam? |

The amazon reviews mention there are only 170 kanji introduced in that book, but you`ll want to know at least 1000 for N3.
Try some of the JLPT-specific books and start reading native materials like newspapers. |

I used earlier editions of the Yookoso books at university. I was able to pass the old level 3 after the first two books. I don't think they will be sufficient for N3. |
