|

Hey guys.
I've been studying from internet materials up until now but I decided I should buy a textbook for 2kyuu because my learning's become mostly dry word cramming and I'll spend more time where I won't be able to use a computer.
But I need an economical decision. (shipping costs mendoukusei)
I need one book which would give me most information for least cash. I have been reading through the textbooks thread but I haven't made up my mind yet. Should I go with genki? |

I wonder if you can somehow get this one without shipping it:
http://www.3anet.co.jp/japanese/kanzen_2kyubunpo.html
It's all Japanese, though, which is sort of a pain in the butt, but it gives you everything you need to know such as what forms of nouns, adjectives, and verbs should be used with a grammar point, convenient furigana for easy vocabulary look up, and every definition possible for each grammar point. |

Is this from N3 to N2 or by the old system when there were 4 levels?
Amazon doesn't seem to like my country but bookservice doesn't mind and the shipping's 300 yen so it seems to be an available option and I like what I've heard about it so far.
Maybe anyone else has an opinion on this book? |

Wow that saves half my scholarship!
Thanks.
I may be able to spend that money on some other book. Any suggestion on what would best supplement studying from 2kyuu bunpou? |

I've never taken a JLPT test before. Now there's two months to it and having a JLPT passed would be a huge plus if I want to participate in an exchange program. I don't want to spend the money on it if I can't make sure I'm 100% ready for it. Therefore, would two months be enough for me to get there? I'd study from Kanzen master and cram word lists. |

The only way to find out is to take some previous examinations and see how you do. |

I am also taking the last 2 months to focus in on grammar. There is always the off chance you could pass from crammiing and luck of the guess. I have talked to some Japanese companies and recruitment places that say people pass N2 4-5 months of study. One guy on alljapaneseallthetime site said he passed with 4 months of study but he did 4-8hours a day. I also know people who have lived in Japan for years and studied and failed 2 or 3 times. |

I have both the Dictionary of Intermediate Japanese Grammar and the
Dictionary of Advanced Japanese Grammar (I also got the one for Basic) and they are very useful.
Currently, I am studying on my own and when I do not understand certain grammar patterns, these dictionaries really help.
They're quite bulky because they are very substantial |

i bought this book entitled 例文で学ぶ 漢字と言葉 which was suggested to me by my japanese teacher. I bought this one in Japan so Im not sure if its available outside japan. as the name implies, it has words that is used in 2級
exams and its corresponding examples. It also has reading exercises, which is a weakness of almost students studying japanese. its really good. i tried it. and I passed the N2 exam. |
