Registration

Okay, some dumb questions here, but I couldn't find the answers.

1. Is there a deadline for registration? I just assumed that you have to sign up some time before the test and can't just show up five minutes before it and take it... funny, though, I couldn't find a sentence anywhere that would deny that.

2. How much exactly am I looking to spend on this?

3. Can I take it in another country? i.e. the country for which I do not have a citizenship or anything of the sort.

There is always a dead-line....but it does depend on where you are.
On the JLPT site it says that registration was closed May, 2:

In Russia it's always a bit earlier (this year April 15, for example), I believe Poland has already closed the registration for July exam too.

Looks like it started March, 6 and ended April, 6.

Don't worry. The next one is in December already!
Registration starts early September.
