Just checking that I know all the expressions before the test (there are some I don't!).
Anyway, - '34 こちらこそ。 Thanks for the meal.' - doesn't seem right. Jim Breen has it as "(exp) it is I who should say so".

Synewave, you are correct, ごちそうさま is the expression used for Thanks for the meal.
Jim Breen's explanation is correct.
If you like an example:
食事に誘ってありがとうございます。
Thanks for inviting me for a meal.
いえいえ、こちらこそ、本当に楽しかった。
Not at all, it should be me thanking you, it was very enjoyable. |
