Hi, i've been searching for the 2010 past paper for N1 but can't seem to be able to find anything. Has it not been released yet?
I've been doing the past level papers but i feel very nervous about the new test without having ago at a past paper.
If anyone could tell me how to get access to the 2010 N1 i would be grateful. |

I don't think they are releasing the old tests. |

You can probably still find old test before the switch to the 'new jlpt' on amazon or other japanese language book store.
The old jlpt 1 should be good enought to test the new jlpt N1.

the old tests are really obsolete now that the formats have changed, I would go another route. |

I disagree. They are not obsolete. They are no longer optimal.
The difficulty of the old and new tests are *roughly* the same. If you have no problem taking the old tests, you will likely have no problem taking the new tests. The main issue is the difference in format. If you want practice the test format, then yes, they are obsolete. If you want to test how well you know the material that will appear, then they are still great resources.
Don't forget, any word/kanji/expression/grammar point that has shown up on any past 1級 test is definitely fair game for them to put on the N1 test, so I'd make sure that you know every single question/answer for the past 1級 tests. You can find some old tests and vocabulary at the following site:
