My host has disabled emails being sent from all forums, in a way which prevents the necessary registration email from being sent. Since we've already got a password, I will disable the necessity for email in the short term to fix this. |

So, does that mean we won't receive email for any topics we are watching?
And we won't receive email if we get any private messages on the forum?
What kind of a host have you got? |

Thanks Keith, I forgot about that. I think I'm assuming everybody's using the RSS feed.
Yeah, the host has disabled the ability for scripts to send emails as the user 'nobody'. This means that all php based email scripts (such as forums, shopping carts etc) will need to have SMTP authentication enabled.
So, I can look at this, and if people want email notifications, I'll have to do it soon! |

I think I might have fixed emails - so you can receive notifications. I'm testing with this post. I'll just answer this post myself... |

Well, let's just wait and see if this email causes an email to be sent to you. |
